Discover the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP), your gateway to Canadian residency, connecting skilled workers with Canada’s vibrant rural and northern communities.
Understanding RNIP:
RNIP, a collaboration between Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and specific communities like Brandon, Claresholm, and North Bay, aims to address labor shortages by welcoming skilled foreign workers and recent graduates.
Who Can Apply?
Ideal for skilled workers, including recent graduates, seeking opportunities in participating communities.
Eligibility and Requirements:
Applicants must meet IRCC and community-specific criteria, usually involving at least one year of skilled work experience or being a recent graduate from a local post-secondary institution. A permanent, full-time job offer from a local employer is typically required.
Work Experience and Job Offer Requirements:
Qualifying for RNIP demands at least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in a skilled occupation within the past three years, under NOC Skill Type 0, A, B, or C. This experience should be obtained legally and outside of full-time study periods. A job offer for permanent, full-time work in the participating community is also essential, unless exemptions apply.
Exemptions for International Students: International students who graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution in the participating community may be exempt from the work experience requirement, provided they have a valid job offer from a local employer.
Why RNIP? RNIP offers a fast-tracked path to residency, enabling skilled individuals and graduates to significantly contribute to and integrate into local economies and societies.
